Churachandpur Community College was inaugurated by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Manipur on the 12th June, 2014 at the Campus of Churachandpur College. Churachandpur, Manipur.

The College is the pioneer of Skill Education not only in the district of Churachandpur but in the state of Manipur. The College has started functioning with two approved courses/trades of University Grants Commission.

On 19th July, 2018, University Grants Commission approved one more new course IT-ITes to the College. With the addition of the newly approved course the College now has three Advanced Diploma Courses as given below:

  • Advanced Diploma in Computer Software and Hardware Technology (ADCSHT)
  • Advanced Diploma in Automotive Technology (ADAT)
  • Advanced Diploma in IT-ITes (ADIT-ITes)

In each of the course 50 seats are allotted. All the courses are aligned with National Skill Qualifi cation Framework which is a quality assurance framework. Expected outcome of alignment of curriculum with NSQF are as below:

  1. Mobility between vocational and general education.
  2. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), allowing transition from non-formal to organized job market.
  3. Standardised, consistent, nationally acceptable outcomes of training across the country through a national quality assurance framework.
  4. Global mobility of skilled workforce from India, through international equivalence of NSQF
  5. Mapping of progression pathways within sectors and crosssectorally.
  6. Approval of NOS/QPs as national standards for skill training.


  • to integrate relevant Skills into the higher education system in order to make higher education relevant to the learner and the community.
  • to provide employable and certifi able skills based on National Occupation Standards (NOSs) with necessary general education to Senior Secondary School pass-outs, with general education and /or vocational education background.
  • to provide for up-gradation and certifi cation of traditional/ acquired skills of the learners irrespective of their age.
  • to provide opportunities for community-based life-long learning by off ering courses of interest to the community for personal development and interest.
  • to provide opportunity for vertical mobility to move to higher education in future and (vi) to off er bridge courses to certifi cate holders of general/vocational education, so as to bring them at par with appropriate NSQF level.


  • To provide equal opportunities of training in the fi eldo of skill based education to all section of the society.
  • To train the students to become employable in industrial sectors and other fi eld of employment opportunities.
  • To spread the importance of training in skill based education and to make this skill workforce defi cit region into skill workforce rich region.
